The Engagement Plan
Air Date: September 7, 2024
Starring: Jack Schumacher, Ted McGinley, Mia Pollini, Eva La Rue, Emily Topper, Eric Lutz, Judd Nelson and Faith Ford
Plot: When his romantic proposal plans are thwarted, Wade will have to prove himself on the family farm to earn Kayla's hand in marriage, while learning to trust God.
This movie premieres first on Great American Pure Flix on August 29 before crossing over to linear cable on September 7.
Love's Second Act
Air Date: September 14, 2024
Starring: Jodie Sweetin and Tilky Jones
Plot: Jamie is a filmmaker who needs inspiration to finish her screenplay after a studio buys the pitch. She finds it in ex-boyfriend, Nick, who still works at the small-town movie theater where they both first fell in love.
You may have already viewed this movie on Pure Flix, since it debuted on the streaming service May 9.
Some fans who love Sweetin from her days on Full House may enjoy watching for the sake of nostalgia. Those of us who can't get past that she's a left-wing nut in real-life might take a hard pass on this movie. Despite her years in front of the camera, Sweetin is a second-rate actress and never a good romantic lead.
The general consensus from viewers who have already seen Love's Second Act on Pure Flix is that it's generic, slow-moving, and stale.
Love at the Ranch
Air Date: September 21, 2024
Starring: Laura Mitchell and Jon Cor
Plot: Allison Sawyer is the go-to reporter at Metropolis Post, known for breaking high-profile stories. Her next story is writing a profile piece on one of her favorite authors Annabelle Lee. Annabelle based all her romantic novels on the timelessly beautiful Clyborne Ranch, far away from city life. Allison heads to the ranch and meets Hank and his adorable Grandma Stella who have been running the place together for years. As Allison gets closer to Annabelle's life, she also becomes a lot closer to Hank. Sparks fly and there are surprises around every corner.
This movie was released in 2021, so it's not new, though it will be a network premiere for Great American Family.
Mystery by the Book (Previously Titled "Key to Love")
Air Date: September 28, 2024
Starring: Alicia Dea Josipovic and Corey Sevier
Plot: A bookstore owner starts an antagonistic relationship with a book cover model until an antique key found in a false book unlocks their romance.
This 2023 movie started streaming on Pure Flix on August 22, so if you have this service, you'll be able to view it before its network premiere in September.
I am a book nerd and love Corey Sevier, so I'm most looking forward to this one!
